It’s already April, and you know what that means for Ardent: a whole month of 4/20 fun! In between the giveaways, live demos, recipes, and games, what will you be doing to celebrate this year? We’ve gone ahead and lined up the ultimate socially distanced 4/20 experience for you – are you brave enough to tackle it? If you’re up for the challenge, keep reading, and follow our itinerary!
7 a.m. Morning workout with decarbed bud bong hits.
Boost your runner’s high! Whether you’re going for a bike ride, laying out the yoga mat and stretching indoors, or taking a stroll outside, add some fresh and decarbed bud bong hits in between. As your body naturally produces “bliss molecule” cannabinoids from working out, you’ll match the feeling with the maximum potential of your herb. Morning euphoria at its finest.
9 a.m. Breakfast Wake & Bake
After a rigorous workout, a filling breakfast is in order. Our new Breakfast Cloud Cakes paired with the FX Double Lifter make getting elevated a simple, mess-free process: no kitchen required. Get your muffins baking in the FX unit while you whip up some coffee, eggs, and bacon. Whatever floats your boat. A long day of consumption requires a filling breakfast!
11 a.m. Toss some CBD flower in the Ardent Nova or FX.
Trust us, this will come in handy later in the day when you want a bit of a come-down! Once your CBD is fully activated (using the A2 setting on the FX,) pour some MCT oil into the FX over the flower (using the Concentrate and Infusion Sleeve or Vessel for easy clean-up) and covering the flower entirely. Begin the Infusion cycle. Once the cycle is complete, strain out your infused oil, separating out the spent material or “raffinate” using the Infusion Press, Frainer, or a coffee filter, cheesecloth, or the strainer of your choice.
12 p.m. Smoke a joint.
Again, you’ll get the most bang for your buck by smoking decarboxylated herb. When you light a joint, the heat from the flame funnels hot air through the joint and into your body. During this heat process, some cannabinoids are activated, and others are burned off from the intensity of the flame. By smoking decarbed bud, you’re always starting with the most activated version of your herb. For flavor’s sake, spliff your dried flower with some decarbed herb, smoke, and enjoy.
1 p.m. TV Break
What’s your favorite cannabis-themed movie or show? One of our favorites is Netflix’s Cooked with Cannabis, featuring dozens of talented cannabis chefs facing off against one another. We’re so excited for the premiere of 4/20 Chopped on Discovery Plus, featuring chefs in cannabis that we know and love! Other favorites include HBO’s High Maintenance, which explores the nuances of a previously unregulated NYC market, Netflix’s Disjointed, which pokes fun at the legal market from a dispensary owner’s POV, and High Herstory, which begins streaming through Social Club TV on 4/20, and tells the tales of trailblazing women in history while the hosts normalize cannabis consumption.
2 p.m. Infused Lunch
Time for lunch! Still baked from breakfast? Ordering in is a safe way to get your food without getting behind the wheel. Plus, you can also infuse your takeout instantly by sprinkling decarboxylated cannabis over top. Mask the flavor and increase bioavailability by slathering your food in homemade cannabutter or cannaoil. If you decide to cook lunch instead, feel free to replace the oil or butter in your recipe with their infused counterpart to elevate your experience.
3 p.m. A few drops of CBD oil under the tongue.
Slow down, partner. Now’s a good time for that CBD oil break. Add a dropper full of CBD oil (use your judgement here based on your preferred dose,) under your tongue. Hold the oil under the tongue for 15-30 seconds before swallowing. The cannabinoids will be absorbed through the mucous membranes in your mouth, and anything that wasn’t absorbed under the tongue, will be absorbed through the ingestion route after swallowing. There’s about a 10 minute onset time for sublingual absorption, and a slower release (up to 2 hours) through oral ingestion.
4 p.m. Water break & sesh prep.
Fill up your water bottle. Get your dab mat, tool, and rig prepared. Take your concentrates out of the fridge. Roll up your last minute joints and blunts. Pack your bowls and bongs. Bring out the gummies.
4:20 p.m. It’s 4:20 on 4/20, let’s turn up!
Sesh like you’ve never seshed before. FaceTime your friends and family who celebrate so you can sesh with them safely. Really set the mood with our epic 4/20 playlist!
5 p.m. Smoke a blunt.
If you’ve been stuck at your desk all day, the work day is officially over! Celebrate with a fatty.
6 p.m. Infused Dinner
Another infused meal, why not? Go the easy route and make some spaghetti with jarred sauce, using infused olive oil or butter to kick it up a notch. If you’re vegan, some infused guacamole or hummus might do the trick. Try any of our delicious infused recipes for your 4/20 dinner. Plus, finish off your infused dinner with some infused dessert. No kitchen or grocery trips required.
7:10 p.m. DABS!
In honor of the only other official holiday of the year, celebrate at 7:10 with the oil of your choice: an edible infusion, a tincture, a vape cartridge, or some good, clean dabs.
8 p.m. Shower
Have you ever taken a high shower? It’s amazing. You’re going to love it. If you’re more of a bath person, try out our guide to infused bath bombs. You deserve the chance to fizzle your worries away.
9 p.m. Massage with CBD Cream & Do a CBD-Infused Face Mask
The best way to moisturize after a bath or shower is with the help of CBD! Use CBD-infused topical salve, lotion, or oil on your body, starting with your temples, working your way down your neck and shoulders. Carefully massage your hands, fingers, and arms, work your way down from the torso and through to the legs and toes. Repeat as needed. Make a CBD-infused face mask, let it dry, and rinse off with cool water.
10 p.m. Time for bed.
Let yourself pass out. After all, this 4/20 does land on a Tuesday! Drink some water before bed, fluff your pillows, and get ready for a great night’s sleep.
