Step 1: Decarboxylate Your Kief
Using your trusty Ardent FX or Mini, start by decarboxylating your CBGa kief. Decarbing is a crucial step that activates the cannabinoids, making them bioavailable and ready to work their magic. Decarbing kief is the same process as flower, we placed our kief in its glass jar on the Lifter, decarbing on the A1 setting to convert the CBGa in the kief to CBG.
Step 2: Blend Your Infusion Mix
After the light turns green and the decarb cycle is complete, remove the activated kief from the FX. You’ll notice it looks the same but is darker in color and compressed a little due to having less moisture after the decarb process.
Now that the kief is decarbed, mix the decarbed kief and the Cannabutter together in the Vessel, Silicone Sleeve, or a glass jar that you can put back on the Lifter.
Step 3: Infuse to Perfection
Place the mix into the FX and press the button for the Infusion Setting to infuse the CBGa from the kief into the butter. The rich fats in the butter will easily bind with the activated CBG in the kief and pull it into the butter. Here we added two grams of kief in order to add 600 mg of kief to the butter, so the butter would have a total 600mg THC + 600mg CBD + 600mg CBG in the jar. Infusion boosting is an easy way to boost the potency, and you can do it wih CBD, THC or CBG, using this same process. You can infusion boost with kief, flower or concentrate. And there’s no need to worry, the Infusion Setting is a low temp infusion, so you won’t be harming the cannabinoids that are already in the butter. Step 4: Cool and Store
Once the infusion process is complete, remove from the FX and let the mixture cool to room temperature. You’ve now transformed your Done-For-You Butter into a powerhouse of cannabinoids. Now, it's ready to use in any recipe you desire or simply spread it on your favorite snack!
