4 Ways to Infuse

The first step to any successful infusion is a precise decarb. Decarbing in the oven, toaster oven, crockpot, or other home heating methods, will yield much less active cannabinoids due to fluctuations in temperature and time. You'll either fail to fully activate everything there, or burn off precious cannabinoids in the process.

Ardent solves the issue of unnecessary plant material waste, saving you money because you use less, and the process couldn't be easier with Ardent Fx, Mini or Nova precision decarboxylators. Get a precise decarb (97-100% activation) each and every time. Plus, no need to keep an eye on your bud in fear of burning your material.

That means you can put your flower, kief, concentrates in the device, and go take a walk, nap, or get the rest of your housework done knowing that the most important part of your cannaDIY process is completed to perfection. Once you’ve properly activated your herb, take your pick of infusing in one of four different ways outlined below:

Directly In-Unit

Let’s not forget, the Ardent decarboxylators are fully functional devices on their own; however, our suite of accessories were expertly crafted to make your Ardent experience even more simple and mess-free.

To infuse right inside the Ardent FX or Minis just add the oil or butter of your choosing over your precisely activated plant material inside the FX’s core. Cover the FX with the standard lid or the Ardent FX Scent Shield, and press the “M'' or “mode” button until it’s reached the Infuse setting. Start the cycle and let it infuse until the cycle is complete or until you’ve finished your desired infusion length. Strain out the spent material from the infusion using the Frainer, Infusion Press for FX, or a standard cheesecloth.

To infuse inside the Ardent Nova, just add the oil or butter of your choosing over your precisely activated plant material inside the removable inner canister. Then, place the Nova’s lid back on top and press the single button interface until the cycle is complete or until you’ve finished your desired infusion length. Strain out the spent plant material from the infusion using the Ardent Frainer or a cheesecloth. Clean the Nova’s inner canister with soap and water by hand.

Concentrate and Infusion Sleeves

With the Concentrate and Infusion Sleeve, fit for either the Ardent FX or Nova, cleanup is a breeze. Not only can you create a seamless liner for your device that leaves your unit spotless after each cycle, it’s also a handy tool for melting down chocolate, candy, and more.

Toss your material into the Concentrate and Infusion Sleeve, then place inside the unit and begin a decarb cycle. Once the cycle is complete, remove the Sleeve from the Nova by carefully squeezing the sides until you have a grip, and lifting it out of the device. In the FX, hold the Sleeve by the finger holes on each side, and lift it out of the device.

Pour your butter or oil over the activated material, fully submerging it, and place the Sleeve back inside the Nova and FX to infuse. Once complete, strain the plant material out of the infusion using the Ardent Frainer, Infusion Press, or a standard cheesecloth, and store in an airtight container such as the Infusion Mold or Vessel. Wash the Concentrate and Infusion Sleeve by hand with soap and water.

Vessel

The Ardent Vessel is an Infusion Sleeve and stash jar in one handy unit! To infuse using the Vessel, start by decarbing your material.

Place your flower, concentrate, kief, etc. inside the unlidded Vessel and put it inside your FX or Nova device. Decarb your material using the single button interface in the Nova, or using the A1 setting on the FX for CBG or THC, and A2 for CBD.

Once the cycle is complete, remove the Vessel from the unit using the silicone handle. Pour your oil or butter over the activated material, fully submerging it, and place it back inside the unit. Cover the unit with the standard lid or Scent Shield and begin another Nova cycle or FX infusion cycle.

Strain using the Ardent Frainer, Infusion Press, or a standard cheesecloth, and pour back inside the Vessel, lidded, to store.

Glass Jar/Lifters

Dispensary waste is a huge problem! Legal cannabis consumers are often left with good glass jars and pretty much nothing to do with them: until now. Repurpose your 8th jars, jam jars, pasta sauce jars, mason jars, and beyond in-unit to make plenty of infusions!

To make an infusion using a glass jar inside your decarboxylator, start with decarb. Place your flower, concentrate, kief, or stems inside the glass jar. You can place the glass jar directly inside the FX, Nova, or Mini. For easier removal, added stability or to make multiple infusions at once (especially for small jars in the FX and Nova) place the glass jar on the Lifter of your choosing. For reference, the FX Single Lifter fits a standard sized mason jar, and the FX Double Lifter fits a standard 8th jar. The FX Triple Lifter allows you to make three infusions at once!

Slide the Lifter loaded with the cannabis-filled jars inside the Nova or FX and press the single button on Nova to decarb, or for FX press the A1 setting for THC or CBG activation, and A2 for CBD activation. Once the cycle is complete, remove the Lifter from the device, and pour your butter or oil over top, fully submerging the material. Then, place the Lifter back inside for infusion cycles (Nova 2nd press of the button, FX and Mini on Infuse Setting, or starting an Infuse cycle in the FX. Once the cycle is complete, strain, store, and enjoy.
