Check out a few different occasions that might require some changes in preparation below:

  • Sunday Funday

Sunday Funday doesn’t require any formal plating: a wood or ceramic slab will suffice! Grab plenty of sliced fruit - we enjoy grapes (a variety of colors will make things pop,) sliced apples, apricots, cherries, and more, along with a selection of soft, spreadable cheese and firm cheese with a bit of bite. Add your favorite deli meats along with some sweet jams, honey, and something chocolatey, for a well-rounded infused board that will feed plenty of guests.

  • The Big Game

Game day plating is even less formal - sometimes even disposable! Combine game day favorites like black bean dip, buffalo dip, chips, guacamole, wings, celery, cherry tomatoes, carrots, and ranch, of course.

  • Cocktail Party

For a cocktail party, you may want to opt for more fancy plating, perhaps something with metallic accents or finish, combined with paper accents to prevent tarnishing. If you’re feeling very fancy, you can serve caviar, olives, candied fruit, pepperoncini, fig, nuts, and more, along with higher grade cheeses and meats.

Weed Cheese Board Recipes

Strawberry Jam

A charcuterie board isn’t complete without some jam! Make your own infused jam by combining a pound of fresh strawberries, 2 cups of sugar, and ⅛ cup of lemon juice in a pot on low heat until the sugar has dissolved.

Turn the heat up until your mixture reaches a rolling boil, stirring continuously until the temperature reaches 220 degrees F. Mix in decarboxylated kief and sunflower lecithin, and funnel the mixture into sanitized mason jars.

Garlic Sauce

Perfectly paired with grilled meats, pickled veggies, and pita chips, our classic Lebanese garlic sauce, or toum, is a wonderful addition to any weed charcuterie board. Learn how to make it on the link above.

Hummus

In a medium saucepan on high heat, bring a can of chickpeas, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and plenty of water to a boil, allowing it to continue simmering for about 20 minutes. Drain.

In a food processor, combine ¼ cup lemon juice, a few cloves of garlic (to taste), and a pinch of salt, until finely chopped. Allow the mixture to sit for about 15 minutes, then add ½ cup of tahini. Add 3 tablespoons of ice water to the processor as it mixes. Add ½ teaspoon of cumin, the dried chickpeas, and a tablespoon of infused EVOO (we’re partial to our award-winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil.)

Blend, plate, and drizzle some infused olive oil and lemon juice over top, and enjoy.

Want to take the easy way out? Grab store-bought hummus and mix in some ground, decarbed cannabis for an instant edible dip for your cheese board.

Kale Spinach Artichoke Dip

Perfect for game day charcuterie boards or as a snack on its own, this kale spinach artichoke dip brings some color and flavor to your weed board. Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, chopped bell peppers, or kettle-cooked chips for some added crunch.

Popcorn

Because it’s a lot less easy to infuse crackers and chips, drizzle some melted cannabutter, infused chocolate, or infused caramel over some popcorn to add a delicately dosed side to your cannabis cheese board.

EVOO & Balsamic Vinaigrette

A classic, simple dip for breads that need a bit of moisture and tang. Use infused EVOO, and serve with infused focaccia to take things a step further.

Know your Audience

A great host watches out for their guests. If you’re hosting a cannabis-infused gathering, give your guests options and allow them to pace themselves. It makes sense to balance your cannabis charcuterie board with a healthy balance of THC and CBD infused foods.

Make sure your infused foods are labeled, and preferably, low dose, so your guests can add more jam, sauce, dip, etc. if they want a higher dose, and can still munch on the non-infused options when the munchies hit. It’s also a good idea to keep CBD tinctures and peppercorns around, just in case someone doses up a bit too much and feels themself getting paranoid.

Labeling

Serving a platter of dosed food requires accuracy and transparency. While using Ardent technology, you achieve over 97% activation of THC and CBD material, whether you’re using stems and sugar leaf, or flower, kief, and concentrates. It’s important to include dosing labels on your cannabis charcuterie board. A few ideas:

  • Stick chalk paper on each section of the plate with the doses written in chalk above each portion.
  • Using a label maker, print out the milligrams for each infused item and place them on the board, showing the dosage per piece, instead of per section.
  • Use metallic Sharpies and place cards to put signage next to each section of the board.
  • Use a corkboard to highlight the dosing for each portion of the weed cheese board and place it beside the platter.
