Tzatziki is a healthy, probiotic snack perfect for enjoying with vegetables, pita bread slices, chips, or alongside a meaty gyro. This dynamic Greek sauce does our Koroneiki Varietal Extra Virgin Olive Oil some justice, pairing deliciously with the estate-grown product for a tart, refreshing, acidic flavor with each bite.
This tzatziki can be made vegan by replacing the Greek yogurt with coconut or almond yogurt. You might also want to toss in some sunflower lecithin as well to assist with bioavailability.
How to Get Started
Decarboxylate your cannabis or hemp in the Ardent Nova or FX, by running a full cycle, or by using the A1 setting for THC-rich material, and A2 setting for CBD-rich material. Add decarbed plant material and some Tuscan Herb Extra Virgin Olive Oil inside the Nova or FX using the silicone Concentrate and Infusion Sleeve, specific to whichever device you own, or the Ardent Vessel. This recipe only calls for 1 tablespoon of EVOO, so adjust your dose accordingly, or use kief or concentrate to make the infusion stronger.
Strain out the used material, if you used flower, and toss it in the garbage or store the raffinate for future use. If using the FX, attach the Infusion Press to the unit (without the Sleeve or Vessel) to separate the raffinate from the infused oil. If you used kief or concentrate for your infusion, simply give it a good stir.
A note on dosing: check your flower or concentrate’s label to identify the percentage of THCa in the product you’re working with. In the Nova or FX, which provide 97-100% activation, one gram of starting material at 23% THCa should yield about 200 mgs of usable THC. After removal of the acid molecule during decarb, which weighs 13% of your starting material, you’ll multiply the starting percentage by .87% to identify the dose in your finished product. Just move the decimal point one space to the right to determine the final dose.
